Another home cooked meal... Tonight, we had Cajun Shrimp and Pasta with Squash Stuffed With Spinach. It was all very very good. We have a few new pieces. Dr. Booth, a friend of mine from Urgent Care, gave us some yellow place mats and napkins which match very well with our everyday dinnerware. Also, there's a new casserole dish, and a new iron pot we got this weekend. Oh, and the new salt and pepper shakers by Good Earth are new. I also bought some pewter napkin holders from Pottery Barn with a gift certificate my aunt and cousin gave us. Some recent purchases we've made have been a commercial steamer from Bed Bath & Beyond for Paxton, so he doesn't have to take his clothes to the dry cleaners as often. We were lucky to have several gift cards to cover the steamer. Then, I had a gift card from TJ Max, so I looked and looked around and finally found a starter set of knives in a wood block. They are Calphalon and really good knives. We were very pleased with that purchase. We also were able to get a pot rack from Bed Bath and Beyond. We're still trying to figure out how to install that one. We'll probably have to exchange it for the hanging one. BUT, the big purchase was our pots and pans this weekend. We got 30% off a 10 piece set of Calphalon Contemporary pots and pans and we had enough in gift cards to cover the rest of them. Now, we just need a bigger kitchen, and an english bulldog pup to complete our home. :)
